The Big Ass Fans team swept through the Australian East Coast - Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane - over the month of May, hosting Industry Trade Events in each major city. Here at Big Ass Fans we're dedicated to connection, we were joined by architects and engineers alike to share insights on how improving indoor air quality impacts design!
One of the highlights of the event was the presentation by Big Ass Fans’ Rebecca Steffanoni, who spoke on the topic of indoor air quality, ventilation strategies, and innovative solutions. Rebecca has been with Big Ass Fans for over 10 years, and has a keen interest in ventilation. Since the COVID19 pandemic, we’ve seen heightened conversation around the importance of managing indoor air quality, ventilation and meeting thermal comfort standards. Rebecca emphasised the importance of natural ventilation systems, and how they contribute to the cost-effective operation of buildings. Fans are able to effectively enhance air movement, thereby facilitating evaporation and cooling occupants' body temperatures. Moreover, Rebecca shared invaluable insights on calculating exposure limits and assessing indoor air quality, equipping attendees with practical knowledge to optimise environmental conditions within their respective spaces.
Attendees indulged in an assortment of canapés and drinks. The bar was open, food was flowing and the DJ was pumping! There were also ‘scratchies’ around the room where attendees were able to win! On each scratchy there was a prize to be won - Big Ass Beans from our Local Roaster Wolff Coffee, Big Ass Beer from our local brewery Future Magic Brewing Co, their very own Big Ass Fan - a Haiky L ceiling fan or a bottle of Kentucky Bourbon! And so everyone was able to take home a little bit of Big Ass Kentucky Spirit - we sent everyone home with a Small Ass Kentucky Bourbon!
